You can order freeze dried rose petals months in advance (even up to a year), but for the best quality, we typically ship them about 2–4 weeks before your event date. This ensures the petals arrive fresh, vibrant, and ready to use.

WHY WE DON’T SHIP TOO EARLY

With over 28 years of experience in freeze drying, we’ve learned that while rose petals are preserved, they are still a 100% natural product.

Over time, even under good conditions:

• Colors can gradually fade
• Light shades (like white, ivory, and blush) may shift toward yellow or light brown
• Petals may lose some of their original vibrancy

To prevent this, we carefully time shipments so your petals arrive closer to your event date, when they’ll look their best.

HOW WE STORE PETALS

After freeze drying, our petals are stored in a carefully controlled environment. Our unique process protects them from light and keeps them in at extremely low humidity level. These conditions help preserve color and quality for as long as possible.

Once your rose petals are removed from storage and prepared for shipping, we carefully store them and seal the petals into an airtight bag. We also include a desiccant to absorb humidity and keep them dry. This packaging is design to keep them ideal for up to a month when stored properly after you receive them.

CAN I REQUEST EARLIER OR LATER SHIPPING?

Yes, we’re happy to accommodate your unique schedule.

If you’re able to store the petals in a similar environment (cool, dark, and very dry), earlier shipping can work well. However, it’s important to understand that the longer petals are stored, the more likely natural color changes will occur over time. This is simply part of working with real, natural rose petals with no added chemicals.

If you want the petals shipped closer to your event, we can do that, too. Please keep in mind that our schedule is ideal based on our petals and the shipping carrier's transit time and reliability. An advantage to freeze dried is that it holds up very well for a month or more, so there's no need to create additional stress by having it arrive mere days before your event.

If you've received your scheduled shipping week and would like to make an adjustment, simply let us know the details via email and we can accommodate. Common reasons for adjustments include leaving your address early for a destination wedding, or you will not be at the delivery address until a specific day.
